‘You’re going to sleep’… Eddie Hall opens up about potential superfight with Francis Ngannou

MMA News

Eddie Hall has expressed his strong desire for a potential super fight against Francis Ngannou inside the cage.

Recently at KSW 105 on April 26th, `The Beast` delivered a stunning performance, finishing Mariusz Pudzianowski by knockout in the very first round.

Now, the winner of the 2017 World`s Strongest Man competition has admitted he would gladly take a significant leap up in competitive level to face `The Predator` head-to-head.

Hall, known for his immense power, is confident that landing a knockout blow against Ngannou is not an impossible feat.

Following his dominant win over Mariusz Pudzianowski, Eddie Hall received notable praise from a prominent UFC figure.

Eddie Hall on His Ability to Knock Out Francis Ngannou

On paper, a contest between Eddie Hall and Francis Ngannou doesn`t immediately suggest a competitive fight. Ngannou is widely regarded as one of the elite, if not the best, heavyweights in the world, while Hall has only one professional fight to his name.

However, according to data from the UFC`s PowerKube machine, Hall`s recorded striking power actually exceeds Ngannou`s. It is this extraordinary power that fuels the strongman`s belief that he possesses a slim possibility of causing a major upset.

Speaking on Michael Bisping’s YouTube channel, Hall explained his perspective. He initially dismissed comparisons to Ngannou after the Mariusz fight, stating it was “ridiculous.” However, upon reflection and receiving some interest from potential promoters, he reconsidered. Hall acknowledges that in a hundred fights, Ngannou would likely win 95, but points to his “knockout power” as the critical 5%. He stated, “He’s still a human being at the end of the day. If I get that on the end of your chin, you’re going to sleep.” Hall concluded that if the financial terms were right to justify the inherent risk, he would take the fight because he believes he has a small but real chance.

Deontay Wilder Provides Update on Potential Fights with Francis Ngannou

While a bout featuring Hall would certainly draw significant fan interest, Ngannou has other potential opponents. Notably, Deontay Wilder has expressed enthusiasm for the chance to exchange blows with the PFL Super Fights heavyweight champion.

A potential showdown between Wilder and Ngannou would pit arguably the two hardest punchers in combat sports history against each other in a fight where the outcome could change in an instant.

Wilder recently shared an update regarding discussions for potential boxing and MMA fights against Ngannou.
