The world-renowned Wimbledon tennis championship returns for another season of exciting matches.
London becomes the focal point as top tennis players, celebrities, royalty, and huge crowds gather for two weeks of intense competition at Wimbledon.
Two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz aims to continue his success after a dramatic victory over world No. 1 Jannik Sinner at Roland Garros earlier this summer.
At just 22, Alcaraz has already surpassed Rafael Nadal`s achievement at SW19 by becoming the sole Spaniard to secure back-to-back men`s singles titles. Nadal`s two wins in 2008 and 2010 were interrupted by Roger Federer in 2009.
Adding to his momentum, Alcaraz recently won the Queen`s Club tournament, defeating Jiri Lehecka in straight sets.
Jasmine Paolini, last year`s women`s finalist, is among several prominent players, including Coco Gauff and Aryna Sabalenka, seeking their inaugural Wimbledon singles title.
Both Gauff and Sabalenka reached the finals at Roland Garros, while Paolini secured the women`s doubles title with Sara Errani.
Defending women`s champion Barbora Krejcikova has faced a season hampered by injuries and exited the Queen`s tournament in the opening round.
When is Wimbledon 2025?
- Wimbledon 2025 takes place over two weeks during the summer.

How to watch Wimbledon 2025 for FREE in the UK
Wimbledon remains FREE to watch in the UK for 2025.
The BBC will provide full coverage of all the action from London this summer.
While the BBC remains the primary domestic broadcaster, TNT Sports will also broadcast the men`s and women`s singles finals and offer a daily 90-minute highlight package.
This arrangement stems from a deal Eurosport previously held with the All England Lawn Tennis Club before its acquisition by TNT Sports.
However, comprehensive coverage will still be available free of charge, as noted above, on the BBC platforms.
Coverage will be shown across BBC TV channels, via the BBC Sport website, and can be live streamed on iPlayer.
Alternatively, follow SunSport`s blog for live updates and news from the All England Club.
Are tickets still available for Wimbledon 2025?
Yes, tickets are still available for every day of Wimbledon.
Securing tickets for specific matches on a particular day can be more challenging, however.
Although the public ballot for specific matches has closed, Wimbledon is unique in that it remains one of the few major sporting events where tickets can be purchased on the day of play.
Queueing is a very popular method to attend the event, with early arrival (potentially even camping the night before) highly recommended.
A limited number of Show Court and Grounds tickets are available for purchase daily.
The type of ticket determines access to specific courts.
Availability for both ticket types is limited, but tickets can also become available later in the day if attendees choose to leave.
Wimbledon also offers various hospitality packages, which include fine dining, complimentary drinks, prime seating, a concierge service, and buggy shuttles to the Gate.
Tickets for particular matches on Centre Court, Court 1, and other courts can also be bought via secondary ticket platforms like StubHub.
Hospitality packages are also available for purchase through Seat Unique.
*Please be aware that StubHub and similar secondary ticket resale sites may list tickets at prices higher than their face value.*
Wimbledon Ticket Options
There are several ways to get into Wimbledon…
The Queue
As one of the only major sporting events that allows guests to purchase tickets on the day, demand is high.
Each day, a large queue forms for people seeking either a Grounds Pass or a Show Court ticket. Many arrive the night before and camp to secure their spot.
Upon arrival, visitors receive a numbered and dated Queue Card, which must be kept until a ticket is bought.
While initial entries are limited, it`s possible to remain in the queue and wait for tickets to become available from people leaving the grounds.
The status of the queue can also be checked on the Wimbledon website.
Organisers this year are encouraging prospective queuers to download the Wimbledon app and create a myWimbledon account.
Show Tickets
Those reaching the front of the queue have access to a limited number of tickets for purchase for Centre Court and Courts 1, 2, and 3.
Note that Centre Court tickets are available via the queue for the first 10 days; tickets for the final four days were pre-sold.
Prices vary based on the Court, seat location, and the day of the tournament, increasing as the tournament progresses.
For example, Centre Court rows A-T tickets cost £105 on Day 1 but increase to £315 for Day 14 (the men`s final).
Grounds Pass
A Grounds Pass costs £30 and grants access to watch matches on Courts 3-18 from unreserved seating. There will also be a queue specifically to enter Court 3.
Ticket Resale
From 3 pm daily, tickets may become available via the official resale platform from attendees who have left Wimbledon and made their seats available.
A Grounds Pass is required to join the virtual queue for resale tickets on the Wimbledon App.
Resale tickets cost £15 for Centre Court or £10 for Courts 1/2.
Hospitality
A range of hospitality packages are still listed as available on the Wimbledon website.
These packages guarantee premium seating for major matches and include fine dining, complimentary drinks, shuttle services, and a concierge.
Hospitality packages can also be purchased via Seat Unique.
Secondary Markets
Websites like StubHub offer tickets for the main courts for specific days and times.
*Please note that StubHub and similar secondary ticket resale sites may list tickets above face value.*
