Two more fighters who had never lost experienced their first defeats at UFC Vegas 105.

In 2025 alone, twenty UFC fighters have now tasted defeat for the first time, including top contenders like Umar Nurmagomedov and Tatiana Suarez.

Lerone Murphy, with a record of 14-0, risked his unblemished record in the main event of UFC Vegas 105, along with three other fighters on the undercard.

Torrez Finney managed to maintain his perfect record using his wrestling skills, but Uran Satybaldiev and Luis Gurule were not so fortunate. Gurule was knocked out by a powerful left hand on Saturday.

Ode Osbourne Stops 10-0 Luis Gurule at UFC Vegas 105

Gurule, 31 years old, joined the UFC after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series in October. His debut fight was against UFC veteran Ode Osbourne in the flyweight division.

While Osbourne is known for his fast starts, Gurule controlled the first round by keeping his opponent on the ground for most of the time. However, the second round was dominated by ‘The Jamaican Sensation’.

Osbourne, who had lost his three previous fights, fought with urgency. He knocked Gurule down in mid-air with a powerful left hand.

Osbourne is also known for stunning Ronaldo Rodriguez at UFC 306 at the Sphere last year. In that fight, he immediately went for a finish but ultimately lost by decision.

This time, Osbourne showed more patience. He waited a moment after knocking Gurule down before delivering ground strikes, leading to a second-round stoppage.

Was Ode Osbourne`s Victory a ‘Fraud Check’ on the Undefeated Fighter?

Before their UFC debut, Gurule was a significant betting favorite at -250 against Osbourne. Gurule entered the fight with a perfect record of 10 wins and no losses, while Osbourne had a record of 12 wins and 8 losses and was on a three-fight losing streak.

Osbourne, a former ranked contender, prompted fan reactions to Gurule`s first professional loss at UFC Vegas 105, with some fans suggesting it was a ‘fraud check’.

“Ode just fraud checked Gurule. I knew it,” one fan posted on X.

“I believe Gurule has the potential to reach the top 15 someday, but experience is crucial. Ode Osbourne has definitely earned his dues,” another fan commented on X.

“Luis Gurule is no longer undefeated. Ode Osbourne leaves victorious. Wow,” another fan reacted.
