UFC heavyweight contender Tom Aspinall demonstrated his superior grappling skills against Eddie Hall, the 2017 World`s Strongest Man.
Hall, despite his massive size and previous punching power records, experienced firsthand Aspinall`s expertise in MMA during a sparring session.
Both athletes are preparing for their upcoming fights. Hall is set to make his MMA debut against Mariusz Pudzianowski at KSW 105 in Poland on April 26th. Aspinall is anticipated to face Jon Jones in a UFC heavyweight title unification bout later this year.
Eddie Hall: Sparring with Aspinall Was a `Humbling Experience`
Eddie Hall, in a recent interview, spoke about his training session with UFC champion Tom Aspinall. He described the experience of sparring with Aspinall as incredibly humbling.
“Sparring with Tom Aspinall was unlike anything I`ve experienced,” Hall confessed. “His grappling skills are unbelievable. He effortlessly used my size against me, and his speed and footwork are phenomenal. Against him, even someone of my strength feels completely outmatched.”
“For a former World`s Strongest Man to admit feeling helpless in sparring, it truly highlights Aspinall`s exceptional MMA abilities,” Hall added.
Hall Predicts Aspinall Will Defeat Jon Jones
The highly anticipated matchup between Tom Aspinall and Jon Jones for the UFC heavyweight championship is eagerly awaited by fans. There`s speculation that Jones has been avoiding this fight.
When asked about Aspinall`s chances against Jones, Hall stated, “I believe Tom Aspinall will win. Jon Jones is a great champion, but there`s likely a reason why this fight hasn`t happened yet. If Jones was confident in his victory, he would have already agreed to fight Aspinall.”
