Ronaldo Signs New Deal with Al-Nassr Until 2027

Football News

Football icon Cristiano Ronaldo has officially signed a new contract extension with Saudi Pro League club Al-Nassr. The club announced on Thursday that the Portuguese superstar will now remain with the team until 2027. This new agreement was reached despite his previous contract not expiring until the summer of 2025 and amid reports of interest from other global clubs, as Ronaldo himself had previously indicated. He originally joined Al-Nassr in December 2022.

Prior to leading Portugal to victory in the UEFA Nations League final this summer, the former Manchester United forward had mentioned receiving interest from various clubs, a point echoed by FIFA president Gianni Infantino in connection with the FIFA Club World Cup. However, Ronaldo ultimately decided to commit his future to the Saudi league.

Sharing the news with fans, Cristiano Ronaldo posted on his social media platforms, stating: “A new chapter begins. Same passion, same dream. Let`s make history together.”

By extending his stay, Cristiano Ronaldo is set to continue his illustrious playing career at Al-Nassr, a move that many speculate could see the Saudi club become his final destination before hanging up his boots.

Reflecting on the latter stages of his career last month, he told reporters, “I know the end of my career is near, but I will continue playing until I`ll be happy to do it.” Ronaldo, who turned 40 in February, boasts an astonishing tally of 956 career goals across all competitions and is widely celebrated as one of the greatest football players of all time.
