Fans were eager to see the rematch after nearly 15 years since Evans` victory over Jackson, anticipating either a repeat win or Jackson`s revenge.

Rashad Evans States Contractual Issues Led to Fight Cancellation

Evans explained that the fight with Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson is off due to unresolved contractual disagreements.

In a statement shared on Instagram, Evans emphasized that this decision was not taken lightly.

Evans stated: “I’m disappointed to announce that the fight between Rampage Jackson and myself scheduled for April 12th in Albuquerque at the PIT will not happen.

“Due to contractual obligations that were not fulfilled, we had to make the tough choice to withdraw from the fight. However, we are still hopeful that this fight can be rescheduled for a later date. We apologize to the fight fans, as we were looking forward to putting on an exciting show. Thank you for all your support!”

Will Rashad Evans Face a Different Opponent Instead of Rampage Jackson?

Despite Evans` announcement suggesting he won`t be boxing next Saturday, the Influencer Crossover Series indicates that he is still expected to compete.

The organization released a statement implying that Evans will still have a fight, although Rampage Jackson was not mentioned.

The company also confirmed that the rest of the undercard events will proceed as planned.
