MMA legend Quinton `Rampage` Jackson recently discussed his experience sparring with former UFC middleweight champion Michael Bisping.
Both Jackson, an American, and Bisping, from the UK, were known throughout their celebrated careers as fiercely competitive fighters who always brought intense determination to the cage.
Given their reputations, it`s not surprising they sparred together. According to Rampage, Bisping was an exceptionally tough training partner.
Rampage Jackson Praises Michael Bisping`s Relentless Drive
Jackson is known for acknowledging the skills of other fighters. He has previously complimented Forrest Griffin`s powerful leg kicks. When asked specifically about sparring with Bisping, Rampage was full of praise, stating that their training sessions pushed him to become a better mixed martial artist.
In an interview, Jackson commented on training with Bisping, saying:
“Michael Bisping is incredibly tough. He`s one of the most challenging people to train with because his effort and dedication stand out. He absolutely never quits or stops. It`s hard to match his intensity in any area. He`s a perfectionist in training, and simply training with him makes you a significantly better fighter. He definitely improved me as a fighter during my time training alongside him and being on his team. It made me examine my own dedication and inspired me to work harder in the gym.”
