F1 News

The Mexico City Grand Prix has secured its place on the Formula 1 calendar until 2028, confirming a new three-year extension agreement.

The race was reintroduced to the F1 schedule in 2015. Currently, only Lewis Hamilton, Carlos Sainz, and Max Verstappen are active drivers on the grid who have previously won the Mexico City Grand Prix.

Looking ahead, the 2025 Mexico City GP is scheduled to take place from October 24 to 26.

Formula 1 President Stefano Domenicali expressed enthusiasm about the continued partnership. He stated: “We are very excited to announce that the Mexico City Grand Prix will continue to be part of our calendar until 2028.”

Domenicali added, “Formula 1 is energy, passion and emotion, and every year the unique atmosphere created by our fans in Mexico City is one of the most incredible and energetic experiences of our championship.” He concluded by saying, “We look forward to continuing this extraordinary collaboration together and seeing the incredible enthusiasm of the Mexican fans again in October.”
