Eddie Hall made a surprising professional MMA debut in Poland last weekend, captivating the MMA world.
Months prior, the former World`s Strongest Man confirmed he would face fellow strongman Mariusz Pudzianowski in his professional mixed martial arts debut at KSW 105.
Known as ‘The Beast’, Hall had hinted at an MMA career for several years. Following a unique 2-on-1 bout where he secured two harsh knockouts, he challenged the Polish giant to what was billed as the `World`s Strongest` fight.
Pudzianowski, unlike Hall, had already established a significant MMA career after his strongman days, with notable knockouts against fighters like Bob Sapp and Butterbean.
Despite his considerable experience edge, Pudzianowski was quickly knocked out by Hall in a rapid 30-second attack, giving Hall a debut victory.
Pudzianowski Comments on His Loss to Eddie Hall at KSW 105
Although Hall completely overwhelmed his Polish opponent, the bout included some controversy. Pudzianowski immediately claimed after the fight that he had received several illegal blows to the back of the head.
Hall later acknowledged accidentally hitting the back of Pudzianowski`s head and offered what appeared to be a sincere apology.
Bizarrely, ‘The Beast’ also mentioned his interest in a potential ‘freakshow’ matchup against Conor McGregor, despite their massive weight difference.
Several days after their heavyweight showdown, Pudzianowski has now responded to Hall`s apology regarding the illegal strikes.
On his Instagram story, Pudzianowski posted: “He was better, he won. This is not chess. It happens like that sometimes.”
Future Prospects: Eddie Hall and Bare-Knuckle Boxing
Before their fight in Poland, the 48-year-old Pudzianowski had indicated he was considering retirement soon.
Hall, conversely, appears to be just starting a potentially successful combat sports career and stated he would consider fighting in Conor McGregor`s BKFC if a substantial offer was made.
BKFC has distinguished itself from promotions like PFL, Bellator, and ONE Championship, positioning itself as perhaps the second most popular combat sport outside the UFC, often signing notable fighters.
The primary challenge for Hall fighting bare-knuckle would be finding a similarly sized opponent willing to potentially absorb powerful strikes from one of history`s strongest men.
