Mariusz Pudzianowski hits back at famous critic after earning monster payday for 30-second Eddie Hall fight

MMA News

Five-time World`s Strongest Man, Mariusz Pudzianowski, has issued a strong response amidst criticism regarding his performance at KSW 105.

Pudzianowski suffered a swift defeat, being knocked out by Eddie Hall in just 30 seconds on Saturday night.

Following his third consecutive loss, Mariusz Pudzianowski attributed the defeat to being hit in the back of the head. However, this explanation was dismissed by KSW matchmaker Wojslaw Rysiewski, who voiced significant criticism of Pudzianowski`s showing.

Polish media outlet SportoweFakty expressed astonishment at Rysiewski`s post-fight comments, particularly given that the promotion had paid the 48-year-old a substantial sum, estimated between 1.5 and 2 million złoty (approximately $400,000 to $530,000 USD), for the brief encounter with the 336lb British strongman.

Mariusz Pudzianowski responds to his critics

On Monday, Pudzianowski addressed the criticism by sharing a screenshot of the SportoweFakty report on his official Facebook account, which boasts 1.2 million followers.

Alongside the report, the veteran fighter, with 28 MMA bouts to his name, also posted a picture of Rysiewski, accompanied by a caption directly addressing the matchmaker`s remarks.

Pudzianowski wrote in Polish: “Maybe I should smash my head for signing a lucrative contract????? It must have been going through your a–es!!! ‘ I know where are my borders and if you’re looking for cannon fool’s meat it’s not the address. I have my limits. Go inside the cage once and then remove your opinion because theory and practice are two different concepts. My health is more important than scratching a hero who won’t unflinch. MMA is a small episode in my life that lasts for so long anyway. And I have a lot more useful to do besides sports.”

What’s next for Mariusz Pudzianowski?

Prior to his `World`s Strongest Fight` against Hall, Pudzianowski had already hinted at the possibility of MMA retirement.

During the post-fight interview, when Hall suggested a rematch, Pudzianowski again indicated that his fighting career might be nearing its end.

“I`m not thinking about the future,” he stated.

“I turned 48, almost 49. The sport is for young people.”

When asked about his next steps, he simply replied, “What`s next? I don`t know.”
