Rumours of a new romance are circulating around Italian tennis sensation Jannik Sinner following recent sightings of him spending time with Russian model Lara Leito. The 31-year-old Leito is notably the former partner of acclaimed Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody.
Sinner, aged 23, had previously been in a relationship with fellow tennis professional Anna Kalinskaya. Their romance reportedly began in April 2024 but ended in November of the same year.
Their initial connection was believed to have formed during shared practice sessions.
However, according to reports from Italian publication Chi magazine, Sinner was recently photographed alongside Lara at the Monte Carlo Country Club in France. The magazine stated that Leito was seen interacting with Sinner`s coaching team and observed his practice session from the stands.
Sources also suggested that the tennis player and the model shared an embrace after his training concluded. Later, she was reportedly seen exiting Sinner`s high-performance Audi RS6 ABT Legacy Edition supercar, with claims of a kiss shared between them.
Lara Leito was in a six-year relationship with actor Adrien Brody after their meeting at the Cannes Film Festival in 2012. Her career as a model has included features in prestigious fashion magazines such as Vogue and L’Officiel.
When discussing his previous relationship with Anna Kalinskaya in May 2024, Sinner stated, “Yes, I am with Anna, but we keep everything very confidential. You know how I value privacy… I won`t say more.”
This speculated new romance is reported to have potentially developed during Sinner`s three-month suspension from the sport. He received this ban after testing positive for the prohibited substance clostebol on two occasions in March of the previous year.
However, anti-doping authorities accepted his explanation for the presence of the anabolic steroid in his system. Sinner claimed it inadvertently entered his body via a spray containing clostebol, which his physiotherapist used to treat a cut on his finger during a massage. An independent tribunal subsequently cleared Sinner of any fault or negligence.
