Emma Raducanu took a glamorous vacation in Los Angeles after her sponsorship agreement with Vodafone concluded.
The British tennis sensation, 22, had been earning a substantial £3 million annually to represent the telecommunications company.
However, reports suggest that the agreement, initially established in 2021, was discontinued because the world No. 47 allegedly requested an excessive fee for renewal.
Despite this, Raducanu still reportedly earns £9 million annually from endorsement deals with prominent brands like Nike, Dior, Tiffany, and Wilson.
During her LA trip, she also promoted the real estate firm Luxury Collective and pool contractors Out Of The Blue Pools, sharing picturesque “postcard” style photos.
Raducanu experienced a luxurious lifestyle in Los Angeles, enjoying a well-deserved respite before the upcoming clay court season.
The 2021 US Open champion enjoyed courtside seats at a recent Lakers basketball game and dined at a sophisticated restaurant with a friend.
Raducanu also relished the Californian sunshine while relaxing by a large pool at a lavish residence.
Maintaining her fitness during the holiday, she went hiking in the Santa Monica mountains.
Raducanu shared images of the breathtaking scenery and commented, “Going to miss my hikes.”
The British player will soon return to the court at the Madrid Open, commencing on April 22nd.
She opted to travel to the United States after withdrawing from representing Great Britain in the Billie Jean King Cup against the Netherlands and Germany.
Her most recent match was at the Miami Open in late March, where she made a strong quarter-final run, narrowly losing to world No. 3 Jessica Pegula.
This occurred just six weeks after a stalking incident and shortly before the tournament, she surprisingly parted ways with coach Vlado Platenik after only one match together.
At the Dubai Open, Raducanu was disturbed by a man exhibiting “fixated” behavior while she was playing against Karolina Muchova.
He had previously given her a letter in a public area.
Upon spotting the individual in the crowd at her match, the London native became distressed, crying and seeking refuge behind the umpire`s chair until security removed him.
The man has since been taken into custody by the police, banned from all WTA events, and subjected to a restraining order.
