Eddie Hall wants to team up with five-time World’s Strongest Man he knocked out for bizarre 2vs4 fight

MMA News

Former World`s Strongest Man Eddie Hall is pursuing an unconventional path in his mixed martial arts career. Known as `The Beast`, he recently achieved a knockout victory in a unique 2-on-1 contest against twin brothers Jamil and Jamel Neffati in June 2024.

Just this past weekend at KSW 105, Eddie Hall delivered a swift, 30-second defeat to five-time World’s Strongest Man Mariusz Pudzianowski. Despite boasting a 28-fight MMA record, Pudzianowski proved unable to overcome his significantly heavier opponent.

Eddie Hall brutally knocked out Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Eddie Hall proposes teaming up with Mariusz Pudzianowski

Now, Hall is floating the idea of potentially joining forces with the man he just defeated, Mariusz Pudzianowski. He indicated that his interest in fighting is focused on exciting and unusual matchups rather than climbing traditional rankings.

In a recent interview, Hall speculated about future plans, saying, “Another 2v1 fight? Maybe me and Mariusz team up and we go 2vs4. I don’t know, but I just want to do fun s—.” He stressed his lack of ambition for conventional MMA progression: “I’ve got no aspirations to climb the ranks. I’ve got no aspirations to have a ranking in any fight Federation.”

Hall clarified where he sees himself in the fighting world: “Where I belong is the freak fights, the 2vs1’s, the Mariusz Pudzianowski’s, the freak fights. I think that’s where I belong.” He contrasted this with a standard professional bout, adding, “You put me in a ring with Tom Aspinall, it’s a recipe for disaster in all scenarios.”

Eddie Hall addresses illegal strikes and apologizes

Hall`s victory over Pudzianowski was slightly marred by accusations that he landed several illegal blows during the fight. Pudzianowski himself complained about strikes to the back of his head post-bout.

Hall later addressed the issue publicly, admitting to the illegal shots and offering an apology. “I do hold my hands up when I say, ‘I’m sorry for hitting you in the back of the head’,” he stated, adding, “I don’t condone that and I wouldn’t want it done to me.”

Pudzianowski responded to Hall`s apology via social media, writing simply, “He was better, he won. This is not chess. It happens like that sometimes.”

It remains uncertain whether the Polish heavyweight intends to pursue a rematch or any further MMA fights, especially after hinting at retirement prior to his recent loss, his third in a row.
