Eddie Hall Open to Francis Ngannou Fight After Previous X-Rated Refusal

Eddie Hall is considering a potential fight against a former UFC heavyweight champion.

The strongman, who won the World`s Strongest Man title in 2017, recently secured victory in his professional mixed martial arts debut.

At KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland, on Saturday night, Eddie Hall emphatically defeated Mariusz Pudzianowski via TKO in just 30 seconds.

Following this win, he has expressed interest in a potential future bout with Francis Ngannou, widely considered among the top heavyweights in MMA.

Eddie Hall Considers Bout with Francis Ngannou

Hall acknowledges that he would be a significant underdog in a confrontation with Ngannou.

Nevertheless, he stated he would be open to facing `The Predator` under certain conditions: a substantial fight purse and ample preparation time.

Responding to a question from Ariel Helwani about his interest in fighting Ngannou, Hall`s initial reaction was a strong expletive (translated as `Bloody hell`).

“You are basically throwing me in with the wolves doing that. I would need a bit of time. I would need a lot of training, and it would need to be a lot of money. I think with anything in life, if the money is right, I would take it.

“The only way I`d fight Francis Ngannou would be with a hell of a training camp. I`d probably want six to nine months of training with top-level athletes in top camps. And the money would have to be good because you are literally putting your life on the line.

“Francis Ngannou outclasses me in every single way possible, in the fight world, but it`s that unknown.

“If I catch him. If I throw that right hand and it just gets him on the end of the chin, it could happen.

“It`s that unknown. So, I wouldn`t be going in thinking I`ve got zero chance, but it would have to be a big-money incentive for me to do that and literally put my life on the line by going into the ring with someone like Ngannou.”

Hall`s Striking Initial Response to Ngannou Speculation

The concept of a fight between Hall and Ngannou was initially proposed by KSW president Martin Lewandowski the previous week.

Immediately after his knockout win over Pudzianowski, Hall dismissed the idea of fighting Ngannou with a notably explicit comment.

“I would rather get f—ed up the a— by the devil than fight Francis Ngannou,” Hall emphatically stated.

“I`m not fighting Francis Ngannou, that`s not happening, no.

“Let`s just not mention my name anywhere near that name.”
