Eddie Hall Interested in Conor McGregor Fight, Sets Conditions for Bare-Knuckle Debut

MMA News

Eddie Hall is now actively seeking his next opponent in the world of mixed martial arts (MMA).

Known as `The Beast`, he initially expressed a desire to face Mariusz Pudzianowski after winning an unusual two-on-one bout last June.

Nearly one year later, in his professional MMA debut at KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland, on Saturday night, Eddie Hall impressively defeated the five-time World’s Strongest Man in just 30 seconds.

After the fight, the 37-year-old former strongman mentioned the possibility of a rematch with Pudzianowski, who had indicated he might retire before and after suffering his third consecutive defeat.

Eddie Hall addresses question about Conor McGregor

Before his MMA debut, Eddie Hall had discussed a potential fight with former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar but ruled out a rematch with Thor Bjornsson, who had beaten him in boxing three years prior.

Facing former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor didn`t seem like a realistic option due to the significant size difference between McGregor and the 336-pound Englishman.

However, during a fan Q&A session shared on his YouTube channel 24 hours before fighting Pudzianowski, Hall stated he would be open to a “freak show” fight against `Notorious`.

“I would love to fight Conor McGregor,” he admitted.

“I think the weight difference would be absolutely comical.”

“Weight classes exist for a reason.

“It would be dangerous, on Conor’s side.”

Eddie Hall seeks significant payment for trying bare-knuckle boxing

As the saying goes, `if it pays, it makes sense`. Still, it seems highly improbable that McGregor will return to fighting after a four-year break against someone nearly 200 pounds heavier than him.

A more likely scenario is that Hall might join Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), a promotion McGregor co-owns.

While it would require a considerable sum of money, the massive super heavyweight fighter is open to competing without gloves.

Hall added:

“I have actually thought about doing bare-knuckle fighting.

“I’ll say this, the money would have to be right. I would consider it. I would do it.

“I love the bare-knuckle scene. I think it’s exciting. I think it’s exhilarating. I just love watching bare-knuckle.

“Yeah, if the money is right, why not? I’ll be a part of that.”
