Former World`s Strongest Men, Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski, recently met face-to-face for the first time in several years.
These two titans of strength sports are scheduled to compete in Gliwice, Poland, on April 26th in a highly anticipated MMA fight.
Mariusz Pudzianowski has been active in MMA for 16 years and boasts an impressive record, including a quick knockout victory against boxing figure Butterbean and another against Bob Sapp. For Eddie Hall, this fight marks his official MMA debut.
Awkward Meeting Captured on Video
Hall initially challenged Pudzianowski after winning a 2-on-1 fight last June.
Almost a year later, their first meeting was captured in an awkward video shared by KSW on social media.
The video shows Hall approaching Pudzianowski, and the two engage in a noticeably long handshake.
Pudzianowski jokingly pretended to be intimidated by Hall, who weighs around 350lbs, before they both tried to recall when they last saw each other.
The massive pair, expected to weigh over 600lbs combined on fight night, exchanged shoulder pats and polite words during the somewhat uncomfortable meeting. The encounter concluded with Pudzianowski speaking in Polish before they parted ways.
Eddie Hall Impressed by Tom Aspinall`s Training
Hall has been training with UFC interim heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall for the past year to prepare for his MMA debut.
Hall admitted that Aspinall has dominated their training sessions.
“You just feel like a little girl,” Hall confessed in an interview.
“Even for someone my size, Tom uses your strength against you, and his hand speed and footwork are incredible.”
“Going into the ring with Tom Aspinall is a very humbling experience, even for a World`s Strongest Man.”
