Demetrious Johnson is widely regarded as one of mixed martial arts` greatest ever competitors.
However, the former UFC flyweight (125lb) champion stands just 5ft 3in tall, leading many to believe he might struggle against much larger opponents, even if they lack significant fighting experience.
Eddie Hall recently demonstrated the impact of sheer size, dominating 28-fight veteran Mariusz Pudzianowski in his MMA debut, winning in just 30 seconds back in April. Hall weighed in at 350lb for the bout.
That impressive performance sparked discussion, prompting Demetrious Johnson to consider how he might fare against the 2017 `World’s Strongest Man`.

Tom Aspinall`s Prediction for Demetrious Johnson vs Eddie Hall
Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall played a part in helping Eddie Hall prepare for his first MMA fight.
Footage of the English fighters sparring together circulated widely before Hall, known as `The Beast`, competed at KSW 105.
Given his experience training with Hall, Aspinall is uniquely positioned to offer an insight into a potential matchup between Johnson and the strongman.
During a discussion, a producer posed the question: “How many ‘Mighty Mouses’ would it take to beat Eddie Hall?”
To Johnson`s surprise, Aspinall responded: “In all honesty, if you had an MMA fight, I think you’d beat him.”
“No, dude, he’s f***ing big,” the flyweight legend countered, expressing doubt.
Aspinall reiterated: “Yeah, but in an MMA fight…”
He added: “I don’t know. It’s difficult to say, the size is a thing. But if you’ve got like a big UFC Octagon.”
What`s Next for Eddie Hall?
Immediately after his debut win, Eddie Hall began talking about his future fights.
The 37-year-old is contractually obliged to a rematch with Pudzianowski, although it remains uncertain if this fight will happen due to the heavily one-sided nature of their initial meeting.
Hall himself has mentioned several prominent names as potential future opponents, including Conor McGregor, Dillon Danis, and Francis Ngannou.
Regardless of who he ultimately faces, fans can likely anticipate seeing Hall return to the cage before the end of 2025.
