Despite being out of the UFC for eight years, the rivalry between Mike Perry and Darren Till is still very intense.
Mike Perry, now a Bare Knuckle FC fighter, and Darren Till, a former UFC title contender, have a complex relationship. They`ve transitioned from friends to rivals, then to enemies, and at times have shown respect for each other throughout their careers.
Now that both Till and Perry are no longer with the UFC, the possibility of them fighting in boxing or MMA is more likely than before. Perry has become a prominent figure in bare-knuckle boxing, and Till has gained momentum with recent boxing victories.
Perry has consistently accused Till of declining significant fight offers. He repeated this in a recent interview while waiting for his next BKFC fight.
Mike Perry Wants to Fight Darren Till in Dirty Boxing
In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Perry reignited his conflict with Till.
“It frustrates me that Till rejected a $2 million offer from Bare Knuckle to fight me, only to fight Anthony Taylor and box for around $300,000,” Perry stated.
“Let’s make this fight happen. Darren Till versus Platinum Perry under my promotion in Dirty Boxing.”
Till quickly responded on X, with a less than friendly tone.
“I never refused, my friend… I suggested a boxing match followed by a bare-knuckle fight… Your manager never contacted mine again, so it’s on you… If you want to fight, I’m ready,” Till confirmed. “You seem more interested in promoting right now, while I train daily, focused, and struggling to find opponents… KSI isn’t answering, Tommy Fury isn’t answering… Jake Paul too…”
“So, if you really want this destined fight, tell your manager to reach out to Misfits, and we can co-promote it.”
Till was scheduled to fight Tommy Fury in a Misfits Boxing event earlier this year, but Fury withdrew. Till recently defeated Anthony Taylor in a Misfits Boxing event in January.
Mike Perry Discussing Fight with UFC Hall of Famer in Bare Knuckle FC Return
Amidst the renewed Till dispute, Perry is reportedly in discussions to fight Robbie Lawler, a 2025 UFC Hall of Fame inductee, in BKFC later this year. Lawler retired from MMA after defeating Niko Price at UFC 290.
Perry and Till have been teasing a fight for years, since their post-fight confrontation after Till beat Donald Cerrone at a UFC Fight Night in 2018. Following Till’s recent win, Perry called for a fight with the former UFC fighter, but nothing is officially planned yet.
Perry also claimed he might face Dillon Danis in an MMA fight after Danis’s original boxing opponent, KSI, pulled out of their match. Danis has a 2-0 professional MMA record.
The rivalry between Till and Perry continues, and it remains to be seen if a fight will actually happen. However, both fighters appear to be interested in making it a reality.
